Racine Properties' Maintenance Pledge
Racine Properties feels strongly that Residential Rental Property tenants are entitled to have a livable home regardless of where the property is located or how much they pay in rent. Livable space can be defined as:
-
keeping basic structural elements of the building, including floors, stairs, walls, and roofs, safe and intact
-
maintaining all common areas, such as hallways and stairways, in a safe and clean condition
-
keeping electrical, plumbing, sanitary, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and elevators operating safely
-
supplying cold and hot water and heat in reasonable amounts at reasonable times
-
providing trash receptacles and trash pick-up
-
managing known environmental hazards such as lead paint dust and asbestos so they don’t pose a significant danger
-
providing rental property that is reasonably safe from the threat of foreseeable criminal intrusions, and
-
exterminate infestations of rodents and other vermin
Racine Properties, adds A “Property Upkeep Addendum” to each lease which assures the tenant their unit is habitable and fit for living at the beginning of the lease, and details requirements to ensure it will remain that way during the entire term of the lease.
